Emma's antenatal classes offer a welcoming and inclusive environment where expectant parents can prepare for birth and early parenthood with confidence. The sessions prioritize psychological safety, fostering mutual respect among participants. Topics covered include the various stages of labor and birth, immediate post-birth experiences, and the postnatal period. You'll learn what is considered normal and when to seek professional help.
In subsequent sessions, the focus shifts to understanding and bonding with your baby, providing both parents with valuable insights on early interactions. Additionally, all antenatal classes include essential child and infant basic life support training, equipping parents with crucial skills to handle emergencies.
Teaching newborn care in antenatal classes is essential for helping parents feel confident and prepared for their baby's arrival. These sessions typically cover a wide range of topics, ensuring parents understand not only practical skills but also the emotional and developmental aspects of newborn care.

The postnatal debrief is a structured discussion offered to parents after childbirth, providing an opportunity to reflect on their birthing experience, address any concerns, and gain clarity on medical events that took place.
A postnatal debrief can be instrumental in fostering emotional healing, resolving uncertainties, and empowering parents as they transition into life with their newborn.
Alternatively, we can arrange a whole group debrief where we can share your experiences.
